ART AND PAINTINGS FROM POLAND

BIOGRAPHY ANNA

Anna Katarzyna Czerniawska was born in 1977 in Glogow, Poland. Since 2004 she is living in the Netherlands. She finished the secondary school of Renow in Brzeg. As an artist she acquired practical skills in renovating the baroque ceilings of the 18-th century palace  which belonged to the German noble family of von Sack.  After that period she was a student at the College of Pedagogy, Expressive Arts, faculty of  Painting.

She is specialised in creating oil paintings and photographic pictures. Her paintings are characterised by pure colours, with a result that there is emerging a full dynamic and sharp expression in her nude figures and portraits. In her oeuvre she makes use of classical techniques, but also of the slice (spatula). That's why there are so many extruding structures in her paintings.

In her creations she is concentrating on the human anatomy. She obtains inspiration for painting and photographing especially by observing natural harmony, but also by watching human behaviour, in which she shows the emotional side of the individual human being.
